Doing Much Better
“Avalanche (and I) are doing much better. She has no problems at
all with anyone coming to the house and has been amazing at the
cottage as well…. She’s even much better with the barking. You were
a God send… thanks again Lynn.”

I Knew We Were Off to a Great Start!
“I wasn't sure what to expect the first time we met. But by the
end of the meeting, I was so impressed. You had so much knowledge
about dogs and dog behaviour- their needs, their wants, the reasons
they do the things that they do - all in just that first session.
I couldn't believe it!! From that point, I knew we were off to a
great start. [read

worked with me for over nine months, and you helped me so many times
and in so many ways it is difficult to describe. You did all of
the things trainers are supposed to do. You taught me how to teach
my dog the basic commands - sit, stay, down, come, how to get him
to walk on a leash, to walk nicely beside me. We moved to more advanced
training and some fancy tricks. But it wasn't just your ability
to teach me, or the dog, how to do those things. It is your warm,
no nonsense, clear and simple and concrete approach to working with
people that is so wonderful. You make learning easy and fun. Your
ability to inject humour into situations made me feel at ease, and
as a result, better able to grasp concepts and train my dog. You
were able to help me resolve issues with my dog and help me understand
why they were happening. You were flexible and able to adapt and
change your approach so that I could understand and learn better.
You showed me in your wonderful and kind way that it was ME who
needed to learn and be trained, much more so than the dog. And as
a result, I know that I am a much better dog owner, and that I have
a much happier dog. Lefty and I loved our time with you and you're
not rid of us yet. You've left the door open for us to call in the
future and that has given me a wonderful measure of comfort. I have,
and will continue to, recommend you to any and all dog owners, or
anyone thinking of getting a dog. It is truly amazing how my family
and I have benefitted from your knowledge, expertise, and wonderful
approach to working with people. Thank you, thank you a million
times over!!!!! We miss you already!!!!!”

A Valuable Resource
“Wally is great. He is a fabulous and easy going dog and we feel
so fortunate to have him. It is very much my pleasure to be able
to pass your name on to others. You are such a valuable resource
and support. I believe that having a good trainer early on really
helps set up a successful relationship between a dog and their new
family.”

His Training Made OUR Lives So Much Better!
“Greg and I were thinking of you today so I thought I'd send you
a quick update! I was trying to sweep the floors today (which I
usually try to do when Mac is on a walk because he 'attacks' the
broom!!) Well, we just took out the 'go lie down' blanket and while
I was sweeping and cleaning he stayed on his blanket anticipating
his next treat! He also 'sits and stays' while I take off my boots,
hang my jacket, take off his leash and even wipe down his paws after
his walks! His training has made OUR lives so much better!!!
Thanks again Lynn !

He Has Turned Out to be a Wonderful Dog.
“I just wanted to thank you for your help last year when we brought
Kaiser (German Shepherd puppy) home. Everything you told me about
Shepherds has been accurate and extremely helpful. Your advice has
helped me be patient with training him and let me know what to expect.
He has turned out to be a wonderful dog and has fit beautifully
into our family.”

Fast Recall
“(He did a) turn around to say hi to a Great Dane. I did a quick
"Hear" and back he trots and whips into a sit in front of me. …The
smart return made my jaw drop (although I tried to look like he'd
been doing recall for months)….Thanks Lynn”

Reactive Dog
“Farley is 100 times better than he was. Basically any dog can walk
by us and he totally ignores them…..We also click and treat around
the un-neutered young males and he now can be around 5 of them (including
an 8 month old boxer) without incident. He's calmer in the yard
as well. Thanks so much, Lynn”
May 2009 – Bev & Farley – a German Shepherd Dog
You’re very wise.
“I just wanted to thank you for teaching us some very valuable common
sense tricks and for taking your own time to address our concerns.
You're very wise and I really appreciated your tactful honesty.
It was actually reassuring to be told to be more realistic about
our expectations of Jack. I started off this morning by just letting
Jack release some energy in the backyard and on his long lead in
the front before training loose leash for a short period of time.
He seems to be enjoying it.”

Much Calmer Now.
“Many thanks for your advice, it has worked like magic. …..She has
been amazingly calm.”
Nov 2005 – Shalini & Maya – a Labrador Retriever
I’m Ecstatic!
“I have to say, I'm still ecstatic over how well Broc did on Tuesday
night. You've certainly provided all of the pieces for us to work
with him.”
Oct 2005 – Gayle & Broc – a Bernese Mountain Dog

real gift. I am really enjoying your class and I look forward
to it every week. I hope that Gizmo passes this level so we

A Wonderfully Trained Dog
"I absolutely loved Lynn & her training style. I
have (with Gizmo) gained so much knowledge from this experience.
I am sad that our time together is over but I take so much with
me to work on. I look forward to having a wonderfully trained
dog. Thank you."
- Erin & Gizmo (after passing Advanced Obedience Level 1)

When we decided to enrol Takoda, our then 12 week old Siberian
Husky in puppy school with Dogs in Harmony, it would have been impossible
to predict the rewards and satisfaction we have derived from this
experience.

Right from the initial in-home consultation, we knew that we had
made the right choice! Lynn has proven time and time again
that she is a true professional. Her individualized, comprehensive
approach to training has brought about immediate and impressive
results as we progress through obedience training. She compliments
this with well structured and thoroughly researched lesson plans,
with reference to breed-specific issues.
The holistic approach utilized by Dogs in Harmony has allowed us
to effectively communicate with Takoda and to understand his behaviours,
allowing us to achieve results that we did not think possible.
Our trainer has taken the time to avail herself for both in-home
and telephone consultations throughout the duration of the training
courses which has proven tremendously helpful on several occasions.
Takoda has developed into a keen, well-disciplined companion.
He can be brought virtually anywhere and is a pleasure to have
in the home or exploring the countryside. Thanks to the positive,
rewarding experiences of training with Dogs in Harmony, we have
been provided the tools that are necessary for lifelong learning
and development while deepening the bonds between us and our dog.
The commitment to own, care for, and raise a dog is a tremendous
responsibility. Without a doubt, Dogs in Harmony is an integral
part in helping us fulfill those commitments, and has enriched the
experience immensely.
We will continue to train with Dogs in Harmony and would unquestionably
recommend anyone seeking this type of experience for their dog to
do the same.
Sincerely,
David & Tania Falls.
